At Solid Foundry, quality starts with prevention. Our strict quality control procedures include hardness testing, tensile testing, impact testing, low-temperature impact testing, chemical composition analysis, microstructure inspection, intergranular corrosion testing, dimensional inspection, balancing, and pressure testing. These tests help ensure that our OEM pump components and wear-resistant castings meet customer drawings, original material specifications, and relevant international standards.

Solid Foundry is committed to supplying high-quality sand castings, pump parts, and wear-resistant metal components with stable mechanical properties and strong chemical durability. From raw material inspection to final casting approval, our quality assurance team monitors each stage of the sand casting process using advanced testing equipment and standardized inspection procedures.

We carry out 100% visual inspection on sand castings to check surface quality and ensure there are no visible casting defects such as cracks, sand inclusions, cold shuts, or other unacceptable surface flaws.

To ensure every customized casting matches the drawing requirements, we perform dimensional checks with suitable measuring tools and inspection equipment. Critical dimensions are inspected according to customer drawings and tolerance requirements.

To confirm that each casting meets the required material grade, we test the chemical composition of every furnace of molten metal using a spectrometer. This ensures the material conforms to the specified standard, such as high chrome white iron, grey iron, ductile iron, stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, duplex steel, or other customer-specified materials.

Physical and Mechanical Testing

Our in-house laboratory is equipped to test key mechanical and physical properties, including tensile strength, hardness, impact strength, elongation, balancing performance, and pressure resistance. For castings used in demanding service environments, we can also arrange low-temperature impact testing, such as Charpy V-notch testing, to verify material toughness under specified low-temperature conditions.

For stainless steel and corrosion-resistant alloy castings, intergranular corrosion testing can also be carried out when required, helping to evaluate the material’s resistance to intergranular attack and confirm its suitability for corrosive working conditions. These inspections help ensure that our final castings meet the required performance standards for pumps, mining equipment, wear parts, and industrial machinery.
